Skin Matters

There is nothing nicer than clean, clear glowing skin. It makes any make-up sit better and generally means that you need less. Here is what I’m currently using:

Cleanser:Soap and Glory Fab Pore Hot Cloth Cleanser.

I bought this as I had liked the Liz Earle equivalent but this is more readily available and more purse friendly. I have tried quite a few Soap and Glory products and have been really impressed. This one did not disappoint. Rub some of the lavender scented cleanser into your skin, run the Muslin cloth under warm water, wring it out and use the warm damp cloth to remove make-up and exfoliate. One of the things I really like about this is it doesn’t dry the skin out. I had been using Dermalogica Special Cleansing Gel which I liked but found a bit drying. I bought this in Boots and on Asos. It’s around €13 but I stocked up in the Asos sale and got it for €7. Score!

Exfoliator: Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant

This is a funny little product, it’s not like other exfoliators. It comes in the form of a grainy powder and you add water to use it. I use a little bit in the palm of my hand, add water and lather it a bit and then use it all over my face. It’s gentle enough for sensitive skin and really leaves your skin so soft and clean-feeling. I love it. It’s not cheap though, I buy it from http://www.kudosbeauty.ie and it costs about €40 but lasts me about a year.

Moisturiser: Neutrogena Multi Defence Moisturiser.

This is a basic moisturiser for my age group(mid twenties!). It’s good value and is a nice consistency. It has an SPF of 15 and goes on well under make-up. I’m not sure if it’s the best moisturiser I’ve ever used but it does the job and costs about €10.
