Dublin’s Best Coffee Haunts

I would happily while away hours in a good coffee house, alone or with friends. It is one of my dreams to open a coffeeshop within a bookshop and have fabulous clothes, photos and art hanging inside.. Until that dream has been realised here are my favourite places to go for coffee in Dublin:

Fixx CoffeeHouse (Dawson St)

I recently discovered this place and I’m an avid fan ever since. A big airy space with free wifi and books to peruse while you sip your coffee. Fixx prides itself on ‘coffee art’, it’s probably the prettiest coffee you’ll see in Dublin and thankfully the taste matches the aesthetics!

Sound Bites Café (Above Tower Records, Wicklow St)

Nestled above Tower Records, Sound Bites Café does great homemade food and tasty coffee in relaxed surroundings. I was there last week and ordered some lemon madeira cake, when the waitress arrived, she said the bit that was left was a bit small and gave me two chocolate chip cookies free to make up for it! There are some really cute coffee table books scattered around and makes for a great atmosphere.

Green Nineteen (Camden St Lower)

Founded as a value for money restaurant, Green Nineteen has made its mark on the Dublin culinary scene. I stopped for coffee there one day after traipsing through the charity shops nearby and was really impressed. A modern interior, without trying to be too cool, friendly staff and really nice coffee.
